What is Fat Dissolving Injections?
Fat dissolving injections use a solution that the doctor injects into small, stubborn pockets of fat to break down fat cells gradually. The body then clears the treated cells over the following weeks. It works on localised areas — the chin, arms, thighs, abdomen, buttocks and love handles — not on overall body weight.
This is our longer-course option. Compared with Aqualyx, which is often planned over fewer sessions, this treatment is usually given as 8–10 sessions, four weeks apart, with the doctor working in stages to reshape an area gently. The solution is placed with a fine cannula after numbing, and swelling for 3–5 days is expected afterwards.
It tends to suit people who are close to a stable, healthy weight but have a pocket that has not shifted with diet and exercise. It is not a weight-loss treatment and will not tighten loose skin; for that, the doctor may suggest radiofrequency tightening alongside. Change is gradual across the course, and keeping your weight stable helps maintain the result. Results vary between people and areas, and the doctor assesses your health, medicines and the area before recommending treatment.
