Back, chest & stomach laser hair removal at Paradise Wellness
Hair on the back, chest and stomach is hard to manage on your own. The back is almost impossible to reach, and shaving or waxing large areas regularly can leave the skin itchy, bumpy and prone to ingrown hairs. Laser hair reduction lets you treat these areas in planned sessions rather than an ongoing routine. Most clients also find the skin itself feels calmer once it is no longer shaved or waxed regularly, with fewer bumps and less itching as regrowth slows.
We treat these areas for both men and women. For men, back, shoulder and chest hair is often dense and coarse. For women, it may be a line of hair on the stomach, hair around the nipples or a few dark hairs on the chest or lower back, sometimes linked to hormonal changes such as PCOS. Whatever the reason, your doctor looks at the hair and the skin together before recommending a plan.
The Soprano Titanium covers large areas efficiently with a gliding technique and built-in cooling. Sessions are spaced 6–8 weeks apart, and most clients need 6–8 sessions, sometimes more for very dense or hormonal hair. Moles, acne and any irritated patches are checked before each session. Because these areas are usually covered by clothing, many clients find them easy to fit around summer and holidays, as long as the skin has not been tanned. Individual results vary.
Good to know about this area
Density and hormonal growth
Back and chest hair in men is often very dense and influenced by androgens, so some clients need more than 6–8 sessions and occasional maintenance. In women, new hair in these areas can be hormonal and is worth discussing with your doctor.
Paradoxical growth on the upper back
Rarely, laser on the upper back, shoulders and neck can stimulate finer new hair nearby rather than reducing it. It is uncommon, but tell us if you notice more hair around a treated area.
Acne and moles
Active acne, broken skin or irritated moles on the back or chest are checked before treatment. Moles are covered or avoided, and any mole that looks unusual is assessed by a doctor first.
Covering the edges
The borders of a treated area are planned carefully — for example, where the chest meets the shoulders — so the result looks natural as regrowth slows.

Back, chest & stomach laser FAQs
How many sessions does back laser hair removal take?
Most clients need 6–8 sessions, spaced 6–8 weeks apart. Male back hair is often very dense and hormonally driven, so some clients need a few more sessions and an occasional maintenance visit afterwards. Your doctor will set a realistic plan at consultation. Individual results vary.
I can’t shave my own back. What should I do?
Ask a partner or family member to shave it the day before, using a clean razor. If that is not possible, let us know when you book and we will advise you. The area needs to be shaved so the laser can target the root rather than the hair on the surface.
Can women have laser on the stomach or chest?
Yes. Many women treat a line of hair below the navel, hair around the nipples or dark hairs on the chest. If hair in these areas is new or increasing, it may be hormonal, and your doctor may suggest checking for causes such as PCOS alongside treatment.
Does back and chest laser hurt?
Most clients find it mild to moderate — a warm, gliding feeling with occasional snaps. Areas with very dense hair, or skin over the spine and collarbones, can feel sharper. Built-in cooling helps, and the pace can be adjusted for comfort.
Can I go to the gym after back or chest laser?
It is best to wait 24–48 hours. Heat and sweat can irritate freshly treated follicles and increase redness or bumps. Light walking is fine, and after two days you can return to your usual routine. When you do go back, shower soon after training and wear clean, breathable clothing.
