Bikini line & Brazilian laser hair removal at Paradise Wellness

The bikini area is one of the most personal areas to treat, and one where the benefits are often felt most. Hair here is usually coarse, curly and dense, which means shaving and waxing frequently lead to ingrown hairs, razor bumps, irritation and darkening in the folds. Laser hair reduction reduces hair at the follicle, so there is less to remove and less to irritate.

We understand that many clients feel hesitant about this area. Treatment takes place in a private room, you stay covered apart from the area being treated, and we agree exactly what will be treated before we begin. You are welcome to ask questions or pause at any time. Your doctor will also check the skin first and ask about anything relevant, such as recent infections or irritation, before the session begins. If you are unsure which shape you want, we can talk through the options without any pressure.

Because the hair is coarse and dark, the bikini area tends to respond well. Most clients need 6–8 sessions, spaced 6–8 weeks apart. It is a more sensitive area than the arms or legs, and numbing can be arranged if needed. Many clients prefer to book sessions outside their period, when the skin tends to feel less sensitive. As hair reduces, most notice fewer ingrown hairs and less irritation, and the area often feels fresher and easier to keep clean. Individual results vary.

Good to know about this area

Privacy and dignity

Sessions take place in a private treatment room. You stay covered except for the area being treated, and the treatment area and shape are agreed with you before starting.

Hygiene

Arriving freshly showered, with the area closely shaved, helps keep treatment comfortable and clean. Afterwards, loose cotton underwear and avoiding sweat for a day or two lower the chance of irritated follicles.

Coarse hair and ingrowns

Coarse, curly bikini hair is prone to growing back into the skin. It also responds well to laser, so most clients see fewer ingrown hairs as the course progresses.

Darker skin in the folds

Skin in the bikini line is often darker than elsewhere. Our doctors adjust settings for this, and reducing friction from shaving and waxing can help the area look more even over time.

Comfort and your cycle

The area is more sensitive than most, and sensitivity is often higher just before or during a period. Many clients book sessions outside that time; numbing cream can be arranged if needed.

Bikini line & Brazilian laser FAQs

Is Brazilian laser hair removal painful?

It is one of the more sensitive areas, because the skin is thin and the hair is dense. Most clients describe it as a quick, sharp snap that is manageable, helped by the Soprano Titanium’s built-in cooling. Numbing cream can be arranged if you are worried, and sessions are often more comfortable outside your period.

What is the difference between bikini line and Brazilian?

A bikini line treats hair that would show outside standard underwear or swimwear. An extended bikini goes a little deeper. A Brazilian treats most or all of the pubic hair from front to back, sometimes leaving a small strip. We agree the exact area and shape with you before the session starts.

Will laser help with ingrown hairs in the bikini area?

For most clients, yes. Bikini hair is coarse and curly, so it often grows back into the skin after shaving or waxing. As laser reduces the number and thickness of hairs, ingrown hairs and bumps usually become much less frequent. Individual results vary.

Do I have to fully undress?

No. You stay covered apart from the area being treated, and the session takes place in a private treatment room. We agree the exact area with you beforehand and explain each step before we begin. You can ask questions or pause at any point.

Can I have bikini laser during my period?

It is usually possible with a tampon or menstrual cup, but many clients prefer to reschedule, because the skin can feel more sensitive around that time. If you are unsure, let us know and we can move your appointment. For most clients the decision is simply about comfort.

How should I prepare for my bikini session?

Shave the area closely about 24 hours before, and avoid waxing or hair-removal creams for 4 weeks. Shower on the day and skip lotions, powders or perfumed products. Wear loose clothing so you are comfortable afterwards. Tell us about any new medicines, recent infections or irritation in the area, and we will check the skin before starting.
