Legs & feet laser hair removal at Paradise Wellness
Legs are one of the largest areas people remove hair from, and one of the most time-consuming. Regular waxing or shaving across the whole leg can lead to ingrown hairs, razor bumps and the small dark dots often called strawberry legs. Laser hair reduction tackles hair at the follicle, so there is less to remove and less to irritate the skin.
Leg hair is usually medium to coarse and grows in wide, even patches, which suits the gliding technique used with the Soprano Titanium. Built-in cooling keeps the skin comfortable, although the shins, knees and ankles, where skin sits close to bone, can feel a little sharper. Your therapist can slow the pace or adjust the cooling on these areas, and most clients find the calves and thighs very comfortable. Half-leg sessions are quick enough to fit into a lunch break, while full legs need a little longer.
Because legs are a body area, sessions are spaced 6–8 weeks apart to catch hairs as they return to their growth phase. Most clients complete 6–8 sessions and notice finer, sparser regrowth as the course goes on. Between sessions you can shave if needed, but avoid waxing or epilating, which pull out the root the laser needs to reach. Planning your course around holidays also helps, because tanned legs need gentler settings. Individual results vary.
Good to know about this area
Ingrown hairs
Coarse, curly leg hair often grows back into the skin after shaving or waxing. With fewer hairs growing, most clients see fewer ingrown hairs and bumps over the course.
Strawberry legs
The dark dots come from open follicles, trapped hair and sometimes irritation. Reducing hair often helps them look less noticeable, although some pigmentation may need separate treatment.
Bony areas
Shins, knees and ankles have thin skin over bone, so they can feel sharper than the thighs or calves. Settings and pace can be adjusted for comfort.
Sun and tanning
Legs often tan on holidays. Tanned skin needs gentler settings or a short wait, so tell us about recent sun and use sunscreen on exposed legs.

Legs & feet laser FAQs
Does laser hair removal help strawberry legs?
Often, yes. Strawberry legs are mostly caused by open or blocked follicles and trapped hair, made worse by shaving and waxing. As laser reduces hair, many clients find the dark dots become less noticeable. Some pigmentation may remain, and your doctor can suggest a separate treatment if it does. Individual results vary.
Will laser stop ingrown hairs on my legs?
It usually reduces them considerably. Ingrown hairs happen when hair curls back into the skin after shaving or waxing. With fewer hairs growing, and those that do growing finer, most clients see far fewer ingrowns and bumps over the course. Gentle exfoliation a few days after each session can also help hairs shed cleanly.
How long does a full leg session take?
A full leg session usually takes around 45–60 minutes, and half legs around 30 minutes. Timing depends on your height, the density of your hair and whether the knees and thighs are included. The Soprano Titanium uses a gliding technique that covers large areas efficiently. Adding the feet and toes takes only a few extra minutes.
How many sessions do legs need?
Most clients need 6–8 sessions, spaced 6–8 weeks apart. Lower-leg hair is often coarser and responds sooner, while finer thigh hair may take a session or two more. Hormonal changes can occasionally bring new growth later, which a top-up session usually manages. Your doctor will confirm your plan at consultation.
Can I go swimming after leg laser?
It is best to avoid swimming pools, hot tubs and the sea for 24–48 hours, because chlorine, salt and heat can irritate freshly treated skin. After that you can swim normally, with sunscreen on exposed skin. Chlorinated water can also dry the skin, so a gentle moisturiser after swimming is a good habit during your course.
Does leg laser hurt?
Most clients find legs comfortable, with a warm, gliding feeling and occasional snaps. The shins, knees and ankles can feel sharper because the skin sits close to bone. Built-in cooling helps, and the pace can be adjusted if an area feels more sensitive.
