What is IPL Photofacial?

An IPL photofacial combines a clinical facial with intense pulsed light (IPL). IPL is a broad-spectrum light that is absorbed by excess pigment and by tiny visible blood vessels, so over a course of sessions sun spots and freckles fade and diffuse redness calms down.

At Paradise Wellness the IPL is paired with microdermabrasion and hydration, so skin also looks brighter and smoother straight away. We offer a lighter In-Mode version for maintenance, a Pro version for more intensive tone correction, and a Photo Ice Facial that ends with cryo cooling.

IPL is not right for every skin concern or skin tone. Deeper pigmentation such as melasma often responds better to laser toning or a depigmentation peel, and darker skin types need careful settings — our doctors assess your skin and will tell you honestly which option suits you.

How it works

  1. 01

    Assess

The doctor checks your skin type and the pigment or redness you want to treat.

  2. 02

    Prepare

The skin is cleansed and exfoliated, and you wear protective eye shields.

  3. 03

    Light pulses

A cooled handpiece delivers IPL flashes across the face — a quick warm snap.

  4. 04

    Calm

Hydration, a soothing mask and sunscreen finish the session.

IPL Photofacial FAQs

What is the difference between IPL and laser toning?

IPL uses a broad band of light and is best for sun spots and redness. Laser toning uses a single wavelength at low energy and is often preferred for deeper or hormonal pigmentation such as melasma. Our doctors choose based on your skin.

Is IPL safe for Indian skin?

It can be for many lighter and medium skin tones with correct settings. Darker skin carries a higher risk of pigment changes, so the doctor may recommend a test area or a different treatment.

Does an IPL photofacial hurt?

Most people describe a quick warm snap, like a rubber band. The handpiece is cooled and sessions are well tolerated.

How many sessions will I need?

Usually 4–6 sessions, 2–4 weeks apart. Your doctor will suggest a plan after seeing how your skin responds.
