Underarms laser hair removal at Paradise Wellness
Underarms are often the first area clients treat, and one of the most rewarding. Underarm hair is typically coarse, dark and dense, which is exactly the kind of hair laser targets best. Many clients notice a clear difference within the first few sessions, with less regrowth and far less of the grey-blue stubble shadow that shaving leaves behind. It is also a gentle way to see how laser feels before treating other areas.
Frequent shaving and waxing in a warm, humid climate like Delhi’s can leave the underarms irritated, bumpy and darker than the surrounding skin. By reducing hair at the follicle, laser takes away much of that friction and the ingrown hairs that come with it. Clients often say the biggest change is simply not having to think about it: no hurried shave before a sleeveless outfit, and no regrowth showing a day later. The skin also has a chance to settle once it is no longer shaved or waxed several times a week.
Sessions take only a few minutes on the Soprano Titanium, with built-in cooling, and are spaced 6–8 weeks apart to catch hairs in their growth phase. Most clients complete their course in 6–8 sessions. Between sessions you can shave as needed, and you will usually find the gaps between shaves getting longer. If hormonal changes bring new hair later, an occasional top-up session is simple to arrange. Individual results vary.
Good to know about this area
Coarse, dense hair responds well
Underarm hair is usually dark and thick, which absorbs laser energy efficiently. That is why many clients see visible results early in the course.
Underarm darkening
Laser does not bleach skin, but reducing shaving, waxing and ingrown hairs removes a common cause of irritation-related darkening. If pigmentation remains, your doctor can discuss treatments that target it directly.
Sweat and odour
Some clients find the area feels fresher with less hair, because hair holds on to moisture. Laser hair removal is not a treatment for sweating or odour, and we do not claim it is. If excess sweating concerns you, mention it at consultation.
Deodorant and sensitivity
Deodorants and antiperspirants can irritate freshly treated skin, so it is best to skip them on the day and for 24 hours afterwards.

Underarms laser FAQs
How many sessions do underarms need?
Most clients need 6–8 sessions, spaced 6–8 weeks apart. Underarm hair is usually coarse and dark, so it tends to respond well, and many people notice a clear reduction after two or three sessions. Hormonal changes can trigger new growth later, so an occasional top-up may help. Individual results vary.
Does underarm laser hair removal hurt?
Most clients describe a quick snap or warm flick with each pulse. The Soprano Titanium has built-in cooling that keeps the skin comfortable, and the whole area is done in a few minutes. Sensitivity varies from person to person and can be higher around your period.
Will laser lighten my dark underarms?
Laser targets hair, not skin pigment, so it does not bleach the underarm. However, it removes stubble shadow and reduces the shaving, waxing and ingrown hairs that often cause darkening. Many clients find the area looks more even over time. If pigmentation remains, your doctor can suggest a treatment designed for it.
Does laser hair removal stop underarm sweat or smell?
No, laser hair removal is not a treatment for sweating or odour. Some clients find the area feels fresher with less hair, because hair traps moisture, but results differ. If heavy sweating bothers you, mention it at your consultation so your doctor can advise you separately.
Can I use deodorant after laser?
It is best to avoid deodorant and antiperspirant for 24 hours after a session, because the skin can be sensitive. After that, a gentle, fragrance-free product is a good choice for a few days. Stop and let us know if you notice stinging or a rash.
Can I shave between underarm sessions?
Yes, shaving is fine between sessions and is the only hair removal you should use. Waxing, plucking, threading and hair-removal creams disturb the hair root that the laser targets. You will likely find you need to shave less often as the course progresses.
