What is HIFU?
HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound) delivers focused ultrasound energy to the deeper supporting layers of the skin — the same layers tightened in surgical facelifts — without cutting the surface.
The heat stimulates new collagen, so skin gradually lifts and firms over the following 2–3 months. It is commonly used for the jawline, under the chin, cheeks, brows and neck.
HIFU suits mild to moderate laxity; very loose skin may need other options, which your doctor will discuss honestly.
