Diwali is the one week of the year when everyone sees you up close: puja, family lunches, card parties and a camera at every turn. The good news is that the treatments that give the most visible glow also need the least downtime, as long as you book them in the right order. This guide sets out what to book and when, so your skin looks its best on the day and not three days after.

The short version: book two weeks out

Most glow treatments look best 3 to 10 days after the session, once any redness has settled and the skin has had time to rehydrate. Booking about two weeks before Diwali leaves room for a second visit if your doctor suggests one, and keeps the last few days free of anything new.

  • 2–4 weeks before: anti-wrinkle injections and fillers (they take up to two weeks to settle), pigmentation peels and laser toning if you are starting a course.
  • 7–14 days before: HydraFacial, Glow Infusion, carbon laser peel and medi-facials.
  • The last 5 days: nothing new. Keep to gentle cleansing, moisturiser and sunscreen.

Treatments that suit the festive week

HydraFacial: deep clean and instant hydration

A HydraFacial cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates in one session with no downtime, so it is the safest choice if you have only one appointment. Book it about a week before Diwali; a second session close to the day is fine if your skin tolerates it well.

Glow Infusion and medi-facials

Glow Infusion and our medi-facials are chosen for your skin type on the day: hydration for dull, dehydrated skin, calming options for sensitive or reactive skin.

Carbon laser peel for oily skin and open pores

The carbon laser peel (often called the Hollywood peel) helps oily skin look smoother and more even. Most people have mild redness for a few hours. Book it 7–10 days before.

Laser toning and peels for pigmentation

If tan or uneven tone is your main concern, laser toning and pigmentation peels work over a course of sessions. A single session two to three weeks before Diwali can brighten the skin; deeper pigmentation such as melasma needs a longer plan, so start early and treat Diwali as a milestone rather than a deadline.

Anti-wrinkle injections and fillers

Anti-wrinkle injections take around 10–14 days to reach their full effect, and fillers can cause small bruises for a few days. Book both at least two weeks ahead, so any review appointment happens before the festivities.

What to avoid in the week before

  • Trying a new peel, scrub or active serum at home.
  • Threading, waxing or bleaching on the same day as a facial or laser session.
  • Sun exposure without sunscreen: tanned skin needs gentler settings and can delay laser treatments.
  • Late nights and very little water. They show on the skin faster than any treatment can undo.

Laser hair removal before Diwali

A single laser hair removal session will not finish the job, since it works over 6–8 sessions, but it does reduce regrowth. If you plan a session before the festivities, keep it at least 5–7 days before the day so any redness has settled, and avoid the sun afterwards.

Plan it with a doctor

Every skin reacts differently, and festive timing matters more than the treatment name. At Paradise Wellness, each plan starts with a free consultation in which a doctor checks your skin, asks about any upcoming events and builds the order of treatments around your dates. Individual results vary.
