At Paradise Wellness, laser tattoo removal costs ₹2,999 per session for a small tattoo (up to 5 × 5 cm), ₹4,999 per session for a medium tattoo (up to 10 × 10 cm) and ₹6,999 per session for each 10 × 10 cm of a large tattoo. Your total cost is the price per session multiplied by the number of sessions your tattoo needs, which a doctor estimates after seeing it.

This guide explains why the number of sessions varies so much and how to plan your budget. For how the treatment works, see our laser tattoo removal page.

Why is tattoo removal charged per session?

Laser tattoo removal uses very short, high-energy pulses that shatter the ink into tiny particles. Your immune system then clears those particles gradually, so the tattoo fades a little more with each session. Sessions are spaced 4–6 weeks apart to give the body time to clear the ink and the skin time to heal. Because nobody can know in advance exactly how quickly your body will clear the ink, clinics charge per session rather than a fixed total.

How many sessions will my tattoo need?

It depends on the tattoo and on you. The main factors are:

  • Ink colour. Black and dark blue usually respond best. Green, yellow and white are the hardest to clear.
  • Ink density. Professional tattoos usually hold more ink than amateur ones and need more sessions.
  • Age of the tattoo. Older tattoos have often faded naturally and can clear faster.
  • Location. Tattoos on the hands and feet can need more sessions.
  • Your skin. Settings are adjusted for your skin tone to protect your skin, which can affect how much is done per session.

Small, dark amateur tattoos may need only a few sessions; dense or colourful professional tattoos can need many. Your doctor gives you an estimate at the consultation.

Estimating your total cost

To estimate your budget, multiply the price per session by the number of sessions your doctor suggests. For example, if a small tattoo is estimated at six sessions, the total would be about ₹18,000; at the medium size, about ₹30,000. Treat this as a planning figure: your tattoo may clear faster or need a few more sessions.

Can every tattoo be removed completely?

Not always. Some colours may not clear fully, and some ink can remain. Significant fading is usually achievable, and for many people the aim is to fade a tattoo enough for a cover-up, which usually takes fewer sessions than full removal.

What to expect after each session

The tattoo turns white for a few minutes straight after treatment. Over the next week, redness, swelling and small blisters or crusts are normal. Keep the area clean, use the ointment we give you, and do not pick blisters or crusts, because that increases the risk of scarring. Avoid sun, swimming and saunas until the skin has healed.

Frequently asked questions

Does laser tattoo removal hurt?

It feels like a rubber band snapping on the skin. Numbing cream and cooling make it more comfortable, and sessions are short.

Will it leave a scar?

The risk is low when sessions are spaced properly and aftercare is followed.

Who should wait before tattoo removal?

We wait if the area is tanned, during pregnancy, if there is infection or broken skin on the tattoo, or if you have a history of keloid scars. Tell your doctor about any past reaction to tattoo ink.

Can permanent makeup be removed?

Some permanent makeup can be faded with laser after assessment. Your doctor will check the pigment and the area first.
