What is Exosome Hair Therapy?
Exosomes are tiny particles that cells release to send signals to other cells. In exosome hair therapy, a laboratory-prepared exosome solution is applied to the scalp, usually after microneedling or by fine injections, with the aim of supporting weakened hair follicles. It is used for thinning hair where follicles are still present.
It is important to know that the evidence for exosomes in hair loss is still emerging. Early studies are encouraging, but there are fewer large, high-quality trials than for established treatments, and products vary in source and quality. Exosome therapy does not regrow hair on areas that have been bald for a long time and is not a replacement for a hair transplant.
