Laser beard shaping reduces the stray hair above your cheek line and below your jaw, so the beard you keep has a clean edge without daily trimming. It is one of the most popular laser treatments for men who wear a beard, and also for men who shave daily but struggle with razor bumps on the neck.
Because results are long-term, the most important part of the treatment happens before the laser is switched on. Your doctor maps the cheek line and neck line with you in the mirror, marks it on the skin and agrees it with you. We always plan conservatively: it is easy to take a little more away in a later session, and far harder to grow back hair that has been reduced. Beard styles change over the years, so we leave room for that.
Beard hair is coarse and dense, and it is driven by testosterone, so it usually responds well but can need more sessions and occasional top-ups. Sessions on the Soprano Titanium are short and spaced 4–6 weeks apart, with settings adjusted for your skin tone. Individual results vary.

Aftercare

Is laser beard shaping permanent?
It gives long-term hair reduction rather than guaranteed permanent removal. Most men keep a much cleaner line for a long time, with occasional top-up sessions because testosterone can activate new follicles. That is why we plan the line conservatively. Individual results vary.
What if I want a fuller beard later?
This is the main reason we plan carefully. Hair that has been reduced by laser does not reliably grow back, so we mark a conservative line and agree it with you first. You can always take a little more away later, but you cannot easily add hair back.
How many sessions will I need?
Most men need 6–8 sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, and some need more because beard hair is dense and hormone-driven. Your doctor will tell you at consultation what is realistic for your hair and skin.
Will it help with razor bumps?
For most men, yes. Razor bumps happen when coarse hair grows back into the skin after shaving. With fewer, finer hairs on the neck, most men see far fewer bumps and ingrown hairs over the course.
Does it hurt?
Most men describe a quick, warm snap. The neck and upper lip are usually the most sensitive. The Soprano Titanium has built-in cooling, and the pace can be adjusted if an area feels sharp.
Can I shave after the session?
Wait 24 hours, then use a clean, sharp razor and a gentle shaving product. Avoid aftershave and alcohol-based toners for a day or two. Do not pluck or thread between sessions.
