Laser hair removal for women laser hair removal at Paradise Wellness

Most women who come to us for laser are tired of the routine: threading the upper lip every two weeks, waxing the arms and legs every month, and dealing with the bumps, ingrown hairs and darkening that come with it. Laser hair reduction targets the follicle, so there is steadily less hair to remove. Our doctors plan each course on the Soprano Titanium by Alma Lasers, with settings matched to your skin tone and hair.

Women’s hair is strongly shaped by hormones. Coarse hair on the chin, jawline, neck or stomach can be linked to PCOS, thyroid changes, pregnancy or menopause, and it often behaves differently from hair on the legs or underarms. That is why every plan starts with a doctor’s consultation. If hormones are driving new growth, your doctor will say so honestly, explain that maintenance sessions are likely, and may suggest seeing a gynaecologist or endocrinologist alongside.

Most women start with one or two areas, such as the underarms or upper lip, and add more once they know how it feels. Others choose a full body plan before a wedding or a big move. Either way, sessions are spaced to match each area’s hair cycle, and your doctor reviews your progress at every visit. Individual results vary.

Good to know about this area

PCOS and hormonal hair

Laser reduces existing hair well in PCOS, but hormones can activate new follicles over time. Plans often run longer than 6–8 sessions, with maintenance afterwards.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

We do not start or continue laser during pregnancy. Hormonal hair that appears in pregnancy often settles afterwards, so your doctor may suggest waiting before planning a course.

Periods and comfort

Skin can feel more sensitive just before and during a period. If you find sessions less comfortable then, we can book around it.

Darker skin and pigmentation

The Soprano Titanium is suitable for Indian skin tones when set correctly. Settings are adjusted for existing darkening from waxing or threading, and a patch test comes first.

Wedding timing

A full course takes many months. For a wedding, start 9–12 months ahead and finish the last session a few weeks before the day.

Laser hair removal for women laser FAQs

Which area should I start with?

Most women start with the area that bothers them most, often the upper lip, chin or underarms. These are small, quick areas, so they are a good way to see how laser feels. You can add more areas at any time, and your doctor will plan sessions so they fit together.

Does laser work for PCOS hair?

It usually reduces PCOS-related hair well, especially coarse, dark hair on the chin and jawline. Because hormones can keep activating new follicles, many women need more than 6–8 sessions and occasional maintenance. Your doctor may also suggest managing the hormonal cause alongside. Individual results vary.

Can I have laser during pregnancy?

No. We do not start or continue laser hair removal during pregnancy. Some hair that appears in pregnancy settles on its own afterwards, so your doctor may suggest waiting a few months after delivery before planning a course. Tell us if you are breastfeeding, as your doctor will advise on timing.

Is laser safe for Indian skin?

Yes, when it is set correctly by a trained team. The Soprano Titanium combines three wavelengths with built-in cooling and can be adjusted for darker skin tones. We start with a patch test, and your doctor sets and reviews the settings at every session.

Is it painful?

Most women describe a quick, warm snap. The upper lip, underarms and bikini line are usually the most sensitive, while arms and legs feel milder. Built-in cooling helps, and the pace can be adjusted for sensitive areas. Numbing can be arranged where your doctor thinks it will help.

When should I start before my wedding?

Ideally 9–12 months before, because a course of 6–8 sessions spaced 4–8 weeks apart takes time. Plan to finish your last session a few weeks before the wedding so your skin is calm. If your date is sooner, your doctor can prioritise the areas that matter most to you.
