What is Regenera Activa?
Regenera Activa is a regenerative hair treatment that uses tiny samples of your own scalp tissue. A doctor takes a few small punch samples from the back of the scalp under local anaesthesia. These are processed in a sealed device to make a suspension, which is then injected into the thinning areas in the same session.
It is mainly used for early to moderate thinning, such as androgenetic (pattern) hair loss, where hair follicles are still present but weakening. The aim is to support thicker, healthier hair and slow further thinning. It is usually a single session, sometimes repeated after some months if your doctor advises.
Evidence for Regenera Activa is growing but still limited, and results vary from person to person. It does not bring back hair in areas that have been bald for a long time, and it does not replace a hair transplant for advanced hair loss. Many people combine it with medical treatment, PRP or GFC. Your doctor will check the cause of your hair loss first, as thyroid, iron or hormone problems need their own treatment.

The back of the scalp is numbed and a few tiny punch samples of scalp tissue are taken.

The samples are processed in a sealed device and mixed with saline to make a suspension.

How is Regenera Activa different from PRP?
PRP uses a concentrate from your blood. Regenera Activa uses tiny samples of your scalp tissue. Both aim to support thinning hair. Your doctor will explain which suits your hair loss better.
Does it work for complete baldness?
No. It is most suitable where follicles are still present but weakening. Long-standing bald areas usually need a hair transplant or a cosmetic option instead.
When will I see results?
Changes are gradual. Some people notice less shedding and thicker hair from about three to six months. Results vary.
Will it leave scars?
The sampling punches are very small and usually heal into tiny marks hidden by surrounding hair. People prone to keloids should tell their doctor.
Do I still need other hair treatment?
Often, yes. Hair loss is ongoing, so your doctor may suggest medical treatment, PRP or GFC to maintain results.
