What is GFC Hair Treatment?
GFC, or Growth Factor Concentrate, is a refined form of PRP. A small blood sample is processed to extract the growth factors released by your platelets, leaving behind the red blood cells and much of the plasma. What remains is a purer, more concentrated solution that is placed into thinning areas of the scalp.
Because the solution is more targeted than standard PRP, many clients find sessions more comfortable, and the course is usually planned as 4–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance every six months. Progress photographs are taken at each visit so you and your doctor can compare density over time. A numbing cream is applied first and the doctor works across the thinning areas with a very fine needle.
GFC is often chosen by people with a widening parting, diffuse thinning or hair fall after stress or illness who want a treatment made from their own blood. It works where follicles are still active, not on completely bald skin, and results vary from person to person. Your doctor checks the cause of your hair loss first and may suggest blood tests or medicines alongside it.

How is GFC different from scalp PRP?
Both come from your own blood. GFC keeps only the pure, concentrated growth factors, so treatment is more targeted and usually more comfortable; PRP uses the platelet-rich plasma itself.
Why is GFC repeated every six months?
Hair grows in cycles and thinning tends to continue over time. After the main course, a maintenance session every six months helps support the results you have gained.
Will I see hair fall less before new growth?
Usually, yes. Most people notice less shedding after 3–4 sessions, while fine new growth tends to show from around 3–4 months. Results vary.
Can I colour my hair during a GFC course?
Yes, but avoid colour for a week before and a week after each session so the scalp is calm and not irritated.
