What is Glycolic Peel?
A glycolic peel uses glycolic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that comes from sugar cane. It loosens the bonds between dead skin cells on the surface, so they shed more evenly. This can help skin look smoother and brighter and can support a more even tone over a course of peels.
At Paradise Wellness, a doctor assesses your skin before choosing the strength and timing. The peel is applied for a few minutes, watched closely, and then neutralised and removed. Strength is usually built up gradually over several sessions. Glycolic peels can help with dullness, rough texture, mild acne, open pores and mild pigmentation. They may be combined with other treatments, such as HydraFacial or laser toning, where suitable.
Please know the honest limits. A glycolic peel is a superficial peel. It does not treat deep wrinkles, pitted acne scars or deep pigmentation; CO2 laser, MNRF or pigmentation-focused care may fit better there. Indian skin can develop dark patches if the peel is too strong or if sun protection is skipped. Delhi's strong sun makes daily sunscreen essential during a peel course. Results vary from person to person.

The doctor checks your skin type, concerns and medicines, and decides the peel strength. A patch test may be done first.

Cleansing and prep
The skin is cleansed and degreased. Sensitive areas, such as the corners of the nose and lips, are protected.

Peel application
The glycolic acid is applied evenly and watched closely. Mild tingling or warmth is normal for the few minutes it stays on.

Neutralise and soothe
The peel is neutralised and removed, then a soothing moisturiser and sunscreen are applied.
