What is Medi-Facial (MDA)?
The Medi-Facial (MDA) is built around microdermabrasion, a mechanical exfoliation in which a fine handpiece gently buffs away the build-up of dead skin cells. It is followed by extraction, hydration and a calming pack, so the skin is resurfaced, cleared and replenished in one 45-minute visit.
Compared with the Hydration Facial, the MDA facial works more on texture: skin that feels rough, looks dull or has stubborn blackheads usually benefits from the extra exfoliation. It is gentler than a chemical peel and has no downtime, which is why many clients use it as a regular reset for city skin or as preparation before an event.
A course of 4–6 sessions two weeks apart is typical. Microdermabrasion works on the surface, so it will not treat deep acne scars, melasma or loose skin — for those our doctors may suggest peels, laser toning or microneedling instead. It is not suitable over active acne, and very sensitive skin may do better with a hydration or LED facial. Results vary from person to person.

How to prepare
- Come with clean skin, free of makeup, if possible
- Stop retinol and exfoliating acids 2 days before
- Avoid waxing or threading the face 2 days before
- Tell us about any new medicines, allergies or skin conditions
What to expect
- A skin check, cleanse and photographs
- A light scratchy or suction feel during microdermabrasion
- Brief pressure during extraction, then a cool mask
- Around 45 minutes; you can return to your day
Aftercare
- Avoid makeup for 6–12 hours
- Skip steam, sauna and scrubs for 48 hours
- Use a gentle cleanser and moisturiser for a day or two
- Apply sunscreen every morning

What does MDA stand for?
MDA is short for microdermabrasion, a gentle mechanical exfoliation that removes dead surface cells to smooth and brighten the skin.
MDA facial or Signature Glow Facial?
Both use microdermabrasion. The Signature Glow Facial adds targeted serum layering for a more luminous finish; the MDA facial is a simpler option focused on texture and clear pores.
Does microdermabrasion suit Indian skin?
It is generally well tolerated on Indian skin because it works on the surface without heat. We adjust the intensity and avoid it over active acne or irritated skin.
Can it help with acne scars?
It can make the surface look smoother, but it does not remodel deeper scars. For acne scarring our doctors usually recommend microneedling, RF microneedling or laser options.
