What is Paradise Recover Drip (Rehydration)?
The Paradise Recover Drip, our Rehydration drip, is IV fluids with glutathione and B vitamins. Unlike our course-based drips, it is usually a single visit, booked when you feel dehydrated, for example after heat, travel, a stomach upset that has settled, or a late night. After assessment, the doctor may add medicine for acidity or nausea if it is appropriate for you.
The doctor first checks your blood pressure, asks how you are feeling and rules out anything that needs hospital care. The fluids then run for 30–45 minutes while you rest in a recliner, and most people are able to carry on with their day afterwards.
Please be realistic about what a drip can do. It helps you rehydrate, but it does not undo the effects of alcohol or treat an illness, and oral fluids work well for most mild dehydration. Severe vomiting, confusion, high fever, chest pain or blood in vomit need emergency care, not a clinic drip. Results vary, and the doctor will tell you if the drip is not the right choice.

The Recover Drip is given only after a doctor’s assessment, and anyone who needs hospital care is directed there instead.

Is the Recover Drip a hangover cure?
No drip can cure a hangover. If you are dehydrated after a late night, travel or heat, fluids given after screening help you rehydrate, and the doctor may add medicine for nausea or acidity if appropriate.
How soon will I feel better?
Many people feel better during or soon after the drip, though this varies. If you still feel unwell the next day, please see a doctor.
Will I need more than one?
Usually not. It is a single visit booked as needed, unlike our course-based drips.
When should I go to hospital instead?
Severe or persistent vomiting, confusion, high fever, chest pain or blood in vomit need emergency care. Our doctor will direct you there if needed.
