What is Under Arms Peel?
The under arms peel is a clinical peel for darkness and rough texture in the underarm area. Compared with our face peels, it adds an exfoliation step first, because underarm skin often has a build-up of dead cells from shaving, deodorants and friction. The result we aim for is smoother skin with a more even tone.
After cleansing, dead skin is gently buffed away and the doctor applies a peel suited to your skin, timing it carefully for this sensitive, folded area. The skin then sheds lightly for 2–3 days. A course of 4–6 sessions about four weeks apart gradually softens darkness and texture.
Underarm darkening has many causes, including friction, hair removal habits, certain deodorants, hormonal factors and sometimes medical conditions.
