What is Under Eye Peel?
The under eye peel is a mild clinical peel formulated for the thin, delicate skin below the eyes. It is gentler than the peels we use elsewhere on the face and is applied by the doctor with care to keep it away from the eye itself. The aim is to lighten pigmentation in the area and leave the under-eyes looking fresher.
The peel loosens pigmented, dull surface cells so they shed gradually over a few days, with light flaking for 2–3 days. Repeating it every four weeks over 4–6 sessions lets the area lighten step by step without irritating the skin.
This option suits dark circles that are mainly brown pigmentation. Not every dark circle is pigment: shadows from hollows, visible blood vessels or puffiness do not respond well to a peel and may need a different treatment. For that reason the doctor examines the under-eye area first and explains what is realistic for you. Sleep, allergies, rubbing the eyes and sun exposure also play a part, so results vary and a good daily routine helps them last.

Will an under eye peel work on all dark circles?
It works on dark circles caused mainly by pigmentation. Hollows, visible veins or puffiness need a different approach, which the doctor will explain.
Is it safe so close to the eyes?
The peel is mild and the doctor keeps it a safe distance from the lash line. Tell us straight away if anything stings in the eye.
How many sessions will I need?
Usually 4–6, about four weeks apart, depending on how deep the pigmentation is.
Can I wear eye makeup afterwards?
It is kinder to the skin to wait until the flaking has settled, usually 2–3 days.
