Mole, Skin Tag & Wart Removal Aftercare
Moles, skin tags, warts and DPNs are removed with radiofrequency cautery or a small procedure. Each spot leaves a small wound that usually heals in 1–2 weeks with simple care.

Before your appointment
- Tell us about blood thinners, diabetes, keloids or a pacemaker
- Avoid sun exposure on the area for 2 weeks before
- Come without makeup or creams on the area
After your treatment, step by step
First 24 hours
Do- Keep the area clean and dry
- Apply the antibiotic or healing ointment advised
Avoid- Getting the area wet for long
- Makeup on the treated spots
- Touching the spots
Days 2–10
Do- Wash gently once or twice a day and pat dry
- Apply the ointment until the scab falls off
- Keep facial spots out of the sun
Avoid- Picking or pulling off scabs
- Scrubs and exfoliating products
- Swimming pools
After healing
Do- Use SPF 50 on healed facial spots for 1–2 months
- Show us any spot that grows back or changes
Avoid- Tanning on the healed areas
What to pause, and for how long

Normal, and settles by itself
- A small scab on each spot
- Mild redness around the spot
- A pink mark that fades over weeks
Call your clinic if you notice
- Blisters, crusting or oozing that keeps spreading
- Pain, swelling or redness that gets worse after 48 hours
- Pus, warmth or fever
- New dark or light patches on the treated skin
- A spot that bleeds and does not stop with 10 minutes of pressure
Aftercare questions
When will the scab fall off?
Usually in 7–10 days. Let it fall off on its own to lower the chance of a mark.
Will it leave a mark?
Most spots leave a small pink mark that fades over weeks. Sunscreen helps prevent darkening.
Can warts come back?
Sometimes. The virus can stay in the skin, so tell us early if a new wart appears.
